Re: Is The Player Base Dropping?

I agree that more dialogues for event would keep players interested in the game. After all, it fleshes out the game's character and makes them feel "alive". Referencing from Age of Ishtaria game, some of their events have a decent length of story and the characters are well fleshed out compared to VF. PVP is another factor as well, its practically suicidal for new players. I remember just starting out with in arena and already meeting people with 5*s compared to my only 4* leon. So yeah unless they have the patience or money to spend and build to tackle arena again, arena won't be an attractive feature for them.

But then again VF is still considerably a new game, Ill give it a few more months before deciding.

Ahh yes, one of my favourite too. The lovable sidekick that is always equipped with a witty response, and bullying your followers. I would say chain chronicles is one of the better ones too. Too bad GUMI decided to shut it down, i invested a lot in that game. I've been avoiding all Gumi games ever since.

Arena is actually a lot better now that the cheaters have been banned. I believe many of those at Bronze level with full 5* teams were cheating. As a F2P who joined late (about 2 months after official launch), it was hell playing against them as well as players who already gotten their 2nd valiant from monthly while I was struggling with only 2-3 sub-par 5* on my team.

I've found arena much easier to climb since the ban wave.

Awesome if that's the case. It was horrible when I just started.

I don't care if the drop of players base is due to recent ban. I like that the devs choose to maintain fair play. I prefer to play with good sportmanship players even with smaller players base than to play in bigger players base with a lot of cheaters

There there, I miss pirika too. But it's an example of a game with good story and game progression. Especially how the game has a sidestory for its heroes. Valiant force could use that system.

On the topic of story, I feel that we need not only need more stories for the events but also for the main mission quests. Dialogue and story is very lacking there.

Many of my friend from facebook tried the game and then quit before reaching level 20. They also complain that it is very hard to reach 5star (Honestly I dont know why would they felt that way).
You can't really match the player base with the total downloaded number. In my case I downloaded twice (1 for my mobile phone, 1 for my nox player).

Short pause between events is good, but I will find it not necessary to open VF frequently then, because there is no where for me to spend my 100+ energy other than story mode. The best solution to this is to create an event that is based on the story mode. Like for every stage cleared, a point will be accumulated, which will allows you to exchange stuffs from bazaar.

Looks like I will take a pause next event. Next event hero looks like Mystic class. Haha we'll see..

Of note I climbed up to tier 8 at around 250ish, so maybe 250 is 1%

Don't really think that the tiers and rankings are good indicators or an accurate representation of the overall player base.

In the first place, this event only benefits the top guilds who can clear content that generates more event points. It is not surprising to see other players not participating, because.. the playing field was never equal. If anything, I would say that the current tiers and rankings represent the player base's reception to this event. I doubt most players would not go all in on this event with the knowledge that they will not get to compete on equal footing.

Perhaps event points should have been capped at level 35 or 40, where all players have a reasonable chance of clearing. This will encourage player participation and spending. The higher levels should really just be levels to reward top guilds by giving out excellent trial rewards, instead of granting a higher energy/event points ratio.

Lastly, happy new year everyone!

Be valiant. Play fair. =)
