I tend to spend some money at the start of new games to achieve "critical mass" status, a lvl where I can compete without having to continue spending like a mad man. Am 3 days in the game, total of 3x 5* now. I have my core team established, just looking to get the healer up to 5*, then decide if I want a guardian or warrior for my front line.

If it helps, I also ran and led the top pvp guild in dragon blaze when it launched for the initial months where we dominated rankings and anyone who wanted to have a chance eventually ended up joining us. Fun while it lasted lol. Let me know if you want screenshot proof, I can dig those up.

Sorry guys, unable to login since the 5.0 update that prevents people from playing using registered emails/facebook, is there any way to bypass this issue?
