Does anyone else beside me feels that express tickets are useless? Using express ticket does not add to quest count, does not add to your friendship level usage count, lower drop rate, no possible bonus encounter, less experience etc etc. Who the hell wants to use these useless tickets and be punished for using it? 

Express Ticket is useful when you have to work and have no time to play. It's the fastest way to quickly use energy. Your squad does not get exp from quest but you get exp potions to compensate (not full compensation though)

Also there is a guide in the forum explaining that express ticket is useful for farming tough quest that you cannot clear with ease. When I reach legendary, that explanation turns real and solid.

Especially for the legendary quests, sometimes completing them requires luck, and a whole lot of pots. So especially when farming for 4* equipment, you don't really want to play 18-3 legendary and 24-3 legendary too often, unless you team is strong enough. As such, SPAM express tickets. Because you can still get drops, including the 4* equipment. And when you become stronger, then come back and complete the rest of the trials.

i dont have salvage yard or (material combiner), so in order to farm *4 materia(for crafting *5 armor) ineed to clear legendary quest.
and im not strong enough, had to spent 25 gem for revive in mid game and clear the quest so i can farm it with express ticket, imagine if theres no express ticket

If there is no express ticket, we can only cry... and then make a suggestion in the feedback forums, and maybe a couple of months later, an express ticket will be made! ^^

I am confused as to why would you think Express Tickets are not useful, as many others above have mentioned, there are several benefits to it.

1) It allows you to complete quest and deplete energy when you're unable to do so or commit the time at the moment to do so due to work and real life commitment-related stuff, this ensures efficiency in your energy regeneration. 

2) Yes, there is lesser overall EXP given compared to doing it manually, but EXP pots means you're able to direct and control which character you wanna fully invest to and level because even tho there are more experience involved when doing manually, it takes a thousand years to actually level four character from one to max, not really nice if you wanna rush invest in a unit to be relevant ASAP.

3) Legendary farming, past 18-3, you'll realize that sometimes you actually need to spam a lot of pots and get lucky in order to clear the area, express tickets help with that farming immensely.

4) I'm not sure about the lesser drop rate thing, is it true? 

oic, thanks. Guess I am not at the farming stage yet. Just doing the events deplete my energy so fast. About lower drop rate, this is something i read from another forum user.

There're some posts that say doing quest the normal way has a higher chance of getting eq as opposed to express. Is this true?

Express ticket does count to the quest, E.g : Complete 4 job quest, do 4 times with express ticket does count on completing the quest, same goes for complete 5 story quest, etc
it even count for Gold quest, and recruit quest.

It only doesnt count for Quest that require you to kill a certain number of monster (Guild quest ).

Yes as stated by a lot of ppl above, it is a time saving, less stress, less rng for higher level . Without Express ticket feature or skip feature i will definitely not Playing this game , Lol.

No Idea. Until someone actually calculates the drop rate.
Though, for those of us who actually use the express tickets, the point is that we don't have time to play during work, so unlikely we'll be able to spend the time to slowly record the drop rate as well
